Thank you to all the teams that supported our inaugural transitional tournament on Sunday 10th June at the end of the 2017-18 season. We have received so much support and kind words following the successful day that saw teams come from far and wide looking to have their first opportunities at their new formats for next season and the next stage of their development in grassroots football.
It was a glorious day in the sunshine as a group of 4 teams changing turn U7, U9, U11 and U13’s next season were welcomed both in the morning and afternoon. The younger age groups given the opportunity to play in the tournament in a non-competitive environment and the older age groups competing for the opportunity to be the tournaments first winners with a final between 1stand 2nddeciding the overall winners. Also, thank you for the invited teams who came to play our other teams that are not in transition next season. Plenty of friendlies played in a really fun environment.
Congratulations to all of the winners on the day and to everyone who took part, we hope all teams took something from the day.
Finally, a huge thank you to every one of our volunteers who helped to make this possible. It was a massive effort and is appreciated.
We look forward to doing it all over again next year.
